POLITICAL MISLEADING BUDDHIST FALUN DAFA/GONG ADVERTISEMENT

I understand why they didn't advertise that this was a play advertising the Falun Gong or Falun Dafa religion, a Chinese Cult from the 1990's. If they had, they wouldn't have been able to sell a single ticket in the US. The dances portrayed people being healed by touching the Dafa book (their bible), persecution from the Chinese government, etc. After 2 dances, you've seen it all. Tell me I'm going to a religious show and let us make the choice as to whether to buy tickets. Don't disappoint the audience by misleading us. We left at intermission, as did several others. These guys are very talented athletes and it was very colorful, but after 2 dances, you've seen everything there is to see. Buyer Beware!!

BAD BAD BAD

Please do not waste your time or money! This is propaganda done with bad taste! Good repeatable acrobatics , almost no dancing or musical value, used to deliver incredible stories of presumed faith healings and conversions! Excellent advertising and social media coverage, almost impossible to find a site where a bad review like this can be left. I bought the expensive tickets for myself and my friend. Ashamed of my choice since. Attended at Q&E in Vancouver, BC.

PROPAGANDA

My opinion on Shen Yun? Total disaster! Why do you even call it Shen Yun (The beauty of divines dancing) while you should be calling it Arrhythmia of Lucifer. Somewhere along the show, there’s a soprano singing a Chinese song. I’d rather listening to the voice of a strangled cat in a graveyard than her singing. Oh good lawd! It also took me a while to figure out she was singing in Chinese. I had to see the caption to understand her singing and my native language is Chinese!! Should Shen Yun be a dance performance? Oh no. They employed a lot of computer graphic to achieve the effects. Many dance moves were unorganized and out of sync. Where’s the choreography? I couldn’t figure it out. Bam! It was clear to me it was the costumes that made up their deficiencies. Without those traditional Chinese costumes, the Shen Yun performers aren’t really good. Often enough the host and hostess were trying to crack a joke but where did they learn the jokes? From the Three Stooges? There’s no humorous ingredients at all. The best part of Shen Yun was the end of it when I could leave.

LEFT AT INTERMISSION

Spent $100 each on our tickets and resent spending the money cuz I'm a grad student on a budget. But was so disappointed over the mediocre quality of dance, we left at intermission for a beer and had a way better time. Should have stayed at home and watched "World of Dance" for free.

DISAPPOINTING

My husband bought 4 tickets as a Christmas gift for myself my mom and two sisters. I’m sorry to say we were not impressed with the dancing or singing. The costumes were very beautiful but the preform was lackluster. Most of the audience was not that impressed either vey few people clapped throughout the show. I would have been wonderful if it was a free school show. It was just ok.😐

RELIGION AND COMMUNISM

I went to see a show supposedly about Traditional Music and Dancing and all we got was Religious Gospel and Communism. If thats is what I wanted I could have went to a Chinese Church. The last part of the show was pure religion. The only people who would truly like the show are Chinese dissidents who want to see the religious aspects against the communist party. So sad to be misled.
