GOT TO BE A PART OF THE SHOW

I understand the other reviews and don't necessarily disagree yet I'm gathering that since it was a smaller venue they may have been more limited in comparison to Vegas. Nevertheless, I HAD AN AMAZING time. I'm pretty certain that the men on stage were the three original founders and the man who brought me up on stage was Chris Wick. That alone was something to behold. These guys came out when I was 18 so they are probably in their 60's now. We all know you slow down as you get older so to perform with continued flexibility and stamina is admirable! Plus, all the employees of the theatre were extremely gracious as well. I will savor this memory. Thank you to the Blue Man Group for giving me the opportunity to partake in theatrical history. -Nicole (on stage Jan 7, 2023)

WHAT FUN!

Saw in Chicago. Visually surprising, exciting, fun, sitting too close to stage not wise. :o) It's entertainment of several sorts all bundled into one fun presentation. It plays with the senses and makes it quite an experience! Can't wait to see them again. Enjoy!

BLUE MAN SOEECHLESS

Was so disappointed! I couldn’t follow the speechless theme and I sat in balcony and found t see facial expressions as no big screen to show up close view! - would not go again but years ago the rockstar show was excellent

ONLY OK

I've seen about a dozen BMG shows in Vegas, and touring, and loved every one ... until tonight. They had a few classics like Drumbone, the paint drums, and the marshmallow toss. The music was amazing, as expected, but the new skits fell flat and made the overall show a bit boring. To top it off, the show was only about 1:40. I'm glad I ONLY spent $120 on 2 tickets!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Maybe this would appeal to a 5 year old, but that's about it. Very trite and boring, other than a few good percussion numbers. Disjointed audio and visual presentation that does not hold your attention at all. The background drummer and guitarist were quite good, and the drummer was especially animated. Nothing like the fabulous show in LV. Very slow, drawn out skits that weren't that funny and much too long. Very disappointing.

DISAPPOINTED

Disjointed and total disappointment

NOT EVEN AN HOUR AND A HALF?

The total length of the show was only an hour and a half?! They could’ve added an additional 30 minutes of nothing but music and that would’ve made me a lot happier than some of the stupid skits that they did… One guitar player one drummer and the three of them? I don’t feel I got my moneys worth that’s for sure… A total disappointment… I gave one star for each hundred dollars I wasted

NOT MUCH MUSIC

This snow was 1.5 hrs and half of this was comedy stick with no music. If you see this you will realize that you saw this in other acts over the years. The TV bit was on PBS tv years ago. I was expecting more music and drumming. I did not like the show, the 3 other people I went with also did not like it.

COMPLETELY CHANGED FROM THEIR ORIGINS, VERY DISAPPOINTED

I feel like it was a human behavior experiment. "How much dead space can we get away with during the show," seemed to be the theme. The sad thing is, they're talented but it was hidden by all the dead space, odd stares, feeling each other's heads???, black outs, audience picking (felt like 8 full minutes of additional dead space), etc. There was very, very little of the original BMG repertoire and that was the biggest grievance of all. I saw about 3 min of the light/paint drums I was so looking forward to. The pipe work was about 5 min. There was 30 min of ODD impromptu 'skit' type stuff which was barely funny. They've gone downhill... not worth the money. I how they take their talents and bring back the good ol stuff. Their drummer and bass player were good but stuck in the back and while I understand they're not blue men... it was just odd I guess.

ONLY HALF AMUSED

Just seen a Blue Man Group on Thursday I could say it was kind of disappointing back in November I seen him in Chicago and was one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen then to see in Detroit it was very sad they didn't step up they didn't do the PVC drum pipes they only did a few skit remotely that was even funnier entertaining but then again this is Detroit so you got to remember not everything is actually good in Detroit

DISAPPOINTED

Wanted to see this group for years. Waste of time and money.Acts were stupid Some didn't make sense. The drummer in background was great.

LET DOWN

I saw BMG in Vegas about 10 years ago and couldn’t wait to see them again and share with my family. We went in Charlotte this past weekend and it was a huge disappointment. Skits were not funny and the amount of time they spent actually drumming could have been increased. No video monitors so unless you were in the first 20 rows it was hard to see their facial expressions. I expected much more and will not go back.

DISAPPOINTING AT BEST

I love the state theater itself. I enjoy going to a near by restaurant for diner and then walking to the theater to see the show. It's normally a great local evening. However...The Blue man group...WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! I felt like this should've been a kid show. Too many silly, pointless skits and not enough music. So boring and areas of total nothingness. This was not at all like I expected. There were moments of paint drums and pipe sounds(which is what you expect from them, but it was so minimal)....the rest was sheer drug out stupidness. The background music players were very good. They were more note worthy than the blue guys. It was a night out..yay! BUT a big BOO for the show itself. Don't waste your time the next time they come around...save yourself some money go to the movies instead. It will be more exciting.

MIGHT BE GOOD FOR KIDS

Not sure how they have been doing shows for 30 plus years, it was repetitive, drawn out, and the comedy was extremely infantile, went it excited from hearing great things, left dumbstruck

BLUE MAN GROUP - PHILLY

I am so glad I paid the minimal price for this show because I wish I paid even half that cost. The “entertainment” was not there. Majority of the show was a total bore. I didn’t expect so much down time in the show or camcorder video quality of recording the audience or themselves, extremely corny interactions with the audience, nor that the background guitarist and drummer would be better musicians than the BMG we came to watch. The show had no energy, passion, or imagination. Honestly an elementary talent show would have been more interesting. This is only getting two stars because of probably more nostalgia than anything, and the fact that it got us out of the house on a weeknight. I think of the total run time of 1 hr 20 mins, maybe 10-15 mins actually was interesting, which consisted of the core BMG acts, such as drums, paint, and PVC pipes.

THEY ARE STARTING TO TAKE THEMSELVES TOO SERIOUSLY

I've seen BMG a dozen times in New York, Vegas, Orlando and a couple tours. I have always been entertained...but not last night in West Palm Beach. The new material was just plain boring. There were 3 guys in blue but it didn't have the energy or feel of BMG. The new music and instruments were horrible. Very disappointed.

SNOOZFEST

This was a repetitive drum show! They recycled the same few drum tricks over and over again. The street performer drumming outside in a bucket was more entertaining. Save your money and buy tickets to a different show

SPEECHLESS NOTHING GOOD TO SAY

I am totally speechless. I cannot believe I’ve sat through the first hour before walking out. The loud repetitive drumming an disorganized video was a complete waste of my money and time. That quite possibly must be the worst show I’ve ever seen at the Pantages. My ears are still ring, please stop beating on the drums.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Saw this at the Plaza on Tuesday, Nov.19. Not at all what we expected. After 30 minutes my wife and I were wondering when the good stuff will happen. It never did. The whole show just consisted of drumming on different things and throwing marshmallows into each others mouths. Sorry I bought the the tickets!

BLUE MAN GROUP

Nothing but a total disappointment

TIRED ACT

The show lacked any energy and has shown that after 30 years, it has ran out of gas. The show in Vegas was great years ago. I expected some of the same stuff. Very boring and drawn out. Some of the act is exactly the same as I saw 20 years ago. It just looks like the production has given up!

NOTHING NEW - NOT WORTH IT

Took my family to see this last night. If anything this seems like a bare bones shadow of the original production.

BLUE MAN GROUP DALLAS

So disappointed!!!! So much of this show was long drawn out skits... or audience participation that was awkward and not funny at all. The background drummer and guitarist was all I really enjoyed.

1.0 star rating Darius Shroff from Dallas, Texas

SUCKED!!!

What a total waste of time and money. To the point where it was boring!! Most of the humor was extremely lame. I was expecting a lot more percussion from the 3 of them, but the little that they did wasn't all that impressive or creative. The drummer and bass guitarist backing them were overpowering and quite frankly better than them. Please don't waste your time and money.

1.0 star rating Bruce from Minneapolis, Minnesota

SUCKED

This show was beyond bad. The best part of the night was having dinner at Craves. This show was designed to take your money and give you nothing. It was boring, and was only hoping that they would wow me with something. Hello, how about some entertainment!! LV was the best, this was the worse. Just when they started playing some good sounds, they stopped and called it a night. .

1.0 star rating Brian from Minneapolis, Minnesota

DISAPPOINTED

Too short, old comedy. Would have rather spent money on local band.

1.0 star rating Russ Schmidt from Minneapolis, Minnesota

VERY SLOW PACED - TOO MUCH DOWN TIME

We loved them the first time we saw them 3 years ago and brought the kids back this year in Minnesota. The show was very slow paced, lacking in excitement, and had a lot of down time. They seemed to milk the standing and looking around way too much through the full show. I will not be going back to their show in the future.

1.0 star rating Justin from Minneapolis, Minnesota

SPEECHLESS

I have to believe the reason they named this tour speechless is because if you have nothing nice to day, don't say anything at all. Exactly why everyone was dead silent leaved the State Theatre.

1.0 star rating George from South Bend, Indiana

IT WAS A LET DOWN

First, it was freezing cold in South Bend on Saturday night March 26. The group refused the doors being opened one hour before the performance (7 PM EST) and we're opened at 730. We were never given a reason why. The performance started around 830 and finished at 9:35 PM EST. We paid approximately $95 a ticket for a 1 hour performance. That's a rip-off. The performance featured BMG, along with a guitarist and drummer. The guitarist and drummer took away from what we have seen in the past from BMG. There was also a lot of snoozing moments during the performance. So the show was really 45 minutes long. There should be a refund given. Probably won't see BMG again which is upsetting.

1.0 star rating Gordon B. from Columbia, South Carolina

BORING

Have seen BMG throughout the US for years and loved the previous shows. The show I n Columbia, SC tonite was a HUGE disappointment, finally walked out… one lame scene after another with boring tunes.

1.0 star rating Diane from Atlanta, Georgia

TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT

We had heard such great things about this show and it couldn’t even keep our interest. Way too little time entertaining the audience and way too much time screwing around with pointless audience participation skits. People were up and down throughout the show. I really want to try this again maybe in Vegas. The Atlanta show was a waste of the BMG name.

1.0 star rating Rhonda from Springfield, Missouri

BLUE MAN SHOW TRULY AWFUL

This was such a terrible show. I wanted to like it and thought it would get better but it did not. A total waste of 90 minutes and 120.00.

1.0 star rating OK from Houston, Texas

HORRIBLE

Needs minimal audience interaction. Do what people expect you to do and beat on the pipes and drums. Complete disappointment!

1.0 star rating TR from St. Louis, Missouri

HORRIBLE AND TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!

The music was ok but the performance was childish even for a kid, and we could not see the audience participation screen very well and there was so little substance and not much “performing” going on as if we will all laugh at nothing just because it’s being presented as “funny”. It was a horrendous waste of time and money. Husband saw Blue Man group in chicAgo years ago and did not even recognize this as the same. Shame on them for calling this performance the Blue Man Group as even a child would call foul on this so called art.

1.0 star rating Kelli from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

VERY DISAPPOINTING

I’ve seen them in Vegas but it was years ago, and remember loving them. This show, however, was very disappointing. No action, it seemed like they weren’t interested!!!! Only an hour and a half, but still left before it was over.
